Sunday we headed to The Canal Club for an amazing outdoor brunch! Afterwards we wandered around the hotel and then did some shopping in Old Town. That afternoon and evening we spent time at the pool, made delicious watermelon cocktails and ordered in from Postino. We canβt wait for June 26th!!
Sunny Scottsdale!
Sophieβs wedding is right around the corner and we had the BEST bachelorette weekend in Scottsdale to celebrate! We got in late Friday night and then were up early for crepes and mimosas, a short hike around Papago Park, lunch at Diego Pops, and then we headed back to the house for an afternoon at the pool. That night we got dressed up for dinner at Sumomaya and then came back to the house for games.
Sophieβs Bridal Shower
This past weekend Grace and I hosted a bridal shower for Sophie! It was the perfect day β complete with my lemon tower centerpiece, amazing desserts from AndrΓ©'s and lots of love for the bride-to-be. Next up, our Bachelorette weekend in Scottsdale!
Canyon Road
Thursday we focused on exploring the art galleries along Canyon Road. There were tons to explore and I loved all the outdoor sculpture gardens as well! Our lunch that day was one of my very favorite, if you visit Santa Fe PLEASE make sure you have breakfast or lunch at The Teahouse. Their tea menu is extensive and the food was amazing as well. I wish there was a place like it in Kansas City!
After lunch we visited the Georgia OβKeeffe Museum which was a small but lovely exhibit of her work. Dinner that night was equally amazing β we had a reservation at Izanami. While we werenβt able to visit the Ten Thousand Waves Spa (someday we will go back and have to!) visiting for dinner was still an amazing experience. I finished the day inspired by all the art and full from all the amazing food!
Bandelier National Monument: Part One
Day Two we headed to the Bandelier National Monument after lunch at the house. It was a beautiful drive there and our whole family walked along the Main Loop Trail and climbed into the cliff dwellings.
Santa Fe Plaza
Our first full day in Santa Fe was spent exploring around the Santa Fe Plaza. We wandered through a ton of shops and I especially loved Sun. If you are in the area, definitely take the time to walk through the La Fonda on the Plaza. The painted glass panes were beautiful and if you are in the mood for a more upscale meal Iβve hear good things about the restaurant. So far on the trip we have eaten takeout from La Choza and The Shed. Both were good, but probably would have been better eaten in the restaurants!
