Last up we took a bus to Notting Hill to explore. I loved wandering through the beautiful apartment buildings and shopping on Portobello Road. For dinner we stopped in The Distillery for one last hurrah before heading back to the Airbnb to pack and check in for our flights out the next morning. Iβm so grateful to have had a chance to travel with my mom and sisters (and Alex our last few days) and see so many lovely parts of England. We will be back!
Chelsea
After our breakfast we wandered around Chelsea and did some shopping! There were still some leftover installations from the Chelsea Flower Show at a lot of the shops (which Sophie and I sadly missed due to our delayed flight) but it was still fun to see! We also stumbled across a beautiful rose garden at a church, too. Here are my favorite few photos from our time in Chelsea:
Peggy Porschen Chelsea
Our last morning in London we headed to Chelsea for our brunch reservation at Peggy Porschen! We had all been looking forward to visiting (especially my mom) and the beautiful pink restaurant did not disappoint. Our advice: have everyone at the table order a different dessert!
Back to London
Day 8 began with an early morning trip to the train station to head back to London and meet Alex! After a quick croissant at a cafe across from the station, we got all our bags loaded on the train one final time and were on our way. Once arriving and checking into our Airbnb the five of us headed to The British Museum. After exploring the huge museum we walked around Covent Gardens, did some shopping, and had dinner before our tickets to Six! Having visited Henry VIIIβs Hampton Court at the beginning of our trip, this was the perfect show to round out our time in the UK. Itβs amazing and I highly recommend getting tickets, especially in London. After the show we headed to bed to rest up before our last day in London!
Bath, Somerset
After arriving in Bath and checking into our Airbnb we headed straight to our tour of the Roman Baths. Luckily, we had booked in advance and were able to make the last time slot of the day. On our walk from our Airbnb we also stopped into some great shops (I bought a silver frame and a cute miniature ceramic bunny mug). Once the tour ended we had dinner at a Greek restaurant before walking around town and admiring the views from the Pulteney Bridge. That night we watched the Queenβs Jubilee event at Buckingham Palace on TV before getting some sleep!
Broadway and Kingham, Oxfordshire
Day four began with a train ride to Cheltenham to pick up our rental car. We definitely overpacked for our trip and luckily were able to take a cab to the train station and board the train with only a few issues. When we arrived, we were also lucky to get a large cab to the rental car pickup. Once all our luggage was in the car we were on our way! Driving was an adventure (it took awhile to get used to keeping left!) but we made it safely to Broadway for lunch at the Crown & Trumpet Inn. After eating we walked around the Broadway shops!
It was lovely to see everything decorated for the Queenβs Jubilee! Early evening we drove to Kingham and checked into our cottage which was by far our best Airbnb in the UK. There were so many thoughtful details and unique combinations that made it truly special. That night we walked to The Wild Rabbit for dinner and then took a short walk to explore the tiny village we would call home the next few days.
