April Around The Web

After spending the entire month of April WFH and social distancing I’ve started to settle into a routine. Work has been busy and Spring has arrived in my yard and mostly I’m feeling grateful to be healthy, have a job, and have a home to spend this time in. Of course I miss seeing my friends and family in person but I had plenty of time to find some inspiration around the web this month!

Hitched in KC Blooms

During this time I’ve been trying to support some of my favorite local businesses and when Hitched Planning + Floral offered grab and go bouquets I jumped at the chance to bring some home! Flowers have brought me some of the greatest joy during this time of being at home. I still dream about my wedding flowers they created so I’m happy I got a chance to support them in a small way!

March Around The Web

Hello, everyone! I hope you are well, what a strange and sad month March turned out to be! We were lucky to safely make it back from Costa Rica and shortly after that Kansas City went into social distancing full swing. I don’t know what April will bring but I do know that I’m thinking of everyone affected by Covid-19, especially New York City. And as a wife of a doctor I’m really proud of all the amazing health care workers. I especially loved seeing rainbows in Brooklyn as shared by Joanna of Cup of Jo – the three story rainbow window display by Linsey Laidlaw and her kids takes the cake!

• Not only is Hallmark giving away 2 million cards to help us all stay connected, but you can download free coloring pages over on Think.Make.Share.!

• Being home so much I’m in the mood to DIY! Not sure I have all the materials but I would love to make my own scrunchies.

• Another quarantine activity on my list: a flower drawing challenge!

• I’m also hoping to start reading more. Loved this book roundup and Carly’s friends’ favorite picks!

• If you are feeling up to some Spring cleaning this is a great list (only if you are like me and cleaning usually helps me relax!)

• You know I adore pasta, so therefore this guide

• One thing I’m really missing is visiting Family Tree Nursery with friends. Might have to start propagating my plants, which might require these beautiful vessels!
