Hello, Santa Fe!
Right after Easter lunch my family packed up and headed to Santa Fe, New Mexcio! Our road trip began with a quick stop in Hutchinson, Kansas to see my Grammy and Pop’s childhood homes and then the next morning we made our way to our Airbnb outside of Santa Fe. Our trip was filled with good food, hiking & lots of time relaxing at the house. Here are a few snapshots from our Airbnb to kickoff the trip!

Spring has arrived and March has already come to a close. Like everyone, it was hard to not think back to one year ago and Covid-19 suddenly upended everything. I know I could never have imagined that I would still be working from home one year later! This month brought lots of walks as the weather warmed up, I celebrated my best friend Laura’s birthday, more members of my family got their vaccines (!!!), Sophie picked up her wedding dress, and I kicked off another round of lettering mentorship with my new mentee, Olivia! Otto also celebrated his 7th birthday on March 28th — he just keeps getting cuter!
I’m looking forward to celebrating Easter with my family this year — this DIY from Lars has the most beautiful palette!

What a month! Every year I count down the days until Valentine’s Day and my birthday as a bright spot in the coldest part of the year. And this year my birthday was absolutely freezing! We celebrated with Lidia’s pasta (a birthday tradition) and my mom made me chocolate ganache cake! Dale also surprised me with a Smeg electric kettle to go along with my Christmas toaster and I’m obsessed with my first pair of Lake Pajamas from my parents.
This month I also got to Facetime and see a few close girlfriends, we watched the Superbowl with Sophie and Alex, and I took part in a virtual Escape Room for my cousin Liesel’s birthday. Thankfully the last few days of the month really warmed up and we were able to get outside and have some fiends over to hang out on our deck. We are also busy planning Sophie’s wedding! The first month of a new year is always an exciting fresh start — especially this year! Between unfathomable lows leading up to inauguration day and the joy of seeing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris sworn in, this month was a rollercoaster for our country. Personally, I got back into the swing of working from home after a holiday break, embarked on my first ever Whole30 with my parents, and celebrated Dale’s immunity day after his second Covid-19 vaccine!! I’ve also been analyzing and organizing my house — basically a New Year’s tradition. Around the web I loved seeing this sustainable DIY:
