Blooms are back and it’s officially my favorite time of year! I had the best time photographing my neighbor’s pink tree last year and couldn’t help but take a few more photos this year. Enjoy!
Canyon Road
Thursday we focused on exploring the art galleries along Canyon Road. There were tons to explore and I loved all the outdoor sculpture gardens as well! Our lunch that day was one of my very favorite, if you visit Santa Fe PLEASE make sure you have breakfast or lunch at The Teahouse. Their tea menu is extensive and the food was amazing as well. I wish there was a place like it in Kansas City!
After lunch we visited the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum which was a small but lovely exhibit of her work. Dinner that night was equally amazing — we had a reservation at Izanami. While we weren’t able to visit the Ten Thousand Waves Spa (someday we will go back and have to!) visiting for dinner was still an amazing experience. I finished the day inspired by all the art and full from all the amazing food!
Santa Fe Plaza
Our first full day in Santa Fe was spent exploring around the Santa Fe Plaza. We wandered through a ton of shops and I especially loved Sun. If you are in the area, definitely take the time to walk through the La Fonda on the Plaza. The painted glass panes were beautiful and if you are in the mood for a more upscale meal I’ve hear good things about the restaurant. So far on the trip we have eaten takeout from La Choza and The Shed. Both were good, but probably would have been better eaten in the restaurants!
Hello, Santa Fe!
Right after Easter lunch my family packed up and headed to Santa Fe, New Mexcio! Our road trip began with a quick stop in Hutchinson, Kansas to see my Grammy and Pop’s childhood homes and then the next morning we made our way to our Airbnb outside of Santa Fe. Our trip was filled with good food, hiking & lots of time relaxing at the house. Here are a few snapshots from our Airbnb to kickoff the trip!
Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail
A few snapshots from our Easter lunch! We had the most perfect weather and a very competitive egg-hunt.
March Around The Web
Spring has arrived and March has already come to a close. Like everyone, it was hard to not think back to one year ago and Covid-19 suddenly upended everything. I know I could never have imagined that I would still be working from home one year later! This month brought lots of walks as the weather warmed up, I celebrated my best friend Laura’s birthday, more members of my family got their vaccines (!!!), Sophie picked up her wedding dress, and I kicked off another round of lettering mentorship with my new mentee, Olivia! Otto also celebrated his 7th birthday on March 28th — he just keeps getting cuter!
I’m looking forward to celebrating Easter with my family this year — this DIY from Lars has the most beautiful palette!
