Thursday we drove from LA to Santa Barbara to finally kick off Matt and Caitlin’s wedding weekend! As soon as we arrived we stopped by The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden. After seeing all the nature we met up with the guys at the pier for wine, ice cream, and lunch. That night we met my family who lives in SB at the Shoreline Cafe for dinner. It was great to catch up and after visiting with them Dale and I headed to our Airbnb to get some sleep before the wedding festivities.
LA Adventures Part Two
Wednesday we started our day with breakfast at Blu Jam Cafe before heading to Malibu for a hike with Perry and Emily! We chose to hike Eagle Rock in Topanga State Park which ended up being quite the challenge with the heat and getting off the path in the last half. The views were worth it, though! Afterward we rewarded ourselves with a beachside cheese board courtesy of Whole Foods. My favorite part of the day was walking along Matador Beach and in some of the sea caves. I’m so grateful we got to see so many of our friends in LA, next up Santa Barbara!
LA Adventures Part One
Tuesday we stopped by Philz Coffee on the way to Manhattan Beach. We spent the morning walking along the ocean and admiring all the amazing homes! Next we met up with our friends, Perry and Emily, and headed to Ballast Point Long Beach for lunch. I ordered the mussels which were amazing and the beer was great, too! That afternoon we drove from Long Beach to the Palos Verdes Cliffs. Our climb down to the water was a bit adventurous but worth it! Tuesday evening we headed back to Koreatown for dinner with all the Froends!
Hello, California!
We kicked off our week in California staying with our friends Matt & Caitlin in Westlake Village! Nothing better than dinner at Nonna with an espresso martini!
August Around The Web
August was a bit more relaxed as Summer starts to wind down. At the beginning of the month I settled back into my work from home routine after coming home from Utah, we spent time with our nephews and celebrated Mike’s birthday, Dale and I worked on planning our Europe trip with Sophie and Alex, we spent as much time as possible at the pool, I went to an outdoor Fusion pop-up class, the Smith family visited the Auschwitz exhibit at Union Station, Holiday Mart planning got busier as the show approached, Dale and I attended a couple’s shower for Laura and Ashton, and we spent a weekend hanging out with our high school friends Syd and Sal!
Around the web this month this propagation wall tutorial caught my eye because our fiddle is nearing the ceiling! Not sure if I will be brave enough to propagate, but saving just in case!
Another fun DIY I discovered was this checkered bowl!
Always on the lookout for pasta recipes!
I keep coming back to this belt bag…
Someday I would love to stay at the Ludlow in NYC!
Matte balloons seem to be trending at the moment.
The most exciting news of the month is that I signed up for Nuuly! I can’t wait for my first box to arrive in early September!
Soak up the end of summer!
Laura’s Last Rodeo!
My best friend Laura is getting hitched and we headed to Park City, Utah for her bachelorette weekend! We arrived on Thursday and wandered around Main Street before Pizza back at our Airbnb. Friday we hiked Bloods Lake Trail, enjoyed an amazing lunch at Wasatch Brewery and then went out on the town. Our last full day was spent horseback riding at Red Pine Adventures before dressing up for Laura’s Last Rodeo! Park City was beautiful and I would love to go back to ski!
