Earlier this month Dale, Grant and I headed to Huntington Beach, California to reunite with our Saint Louis “Froends” and celebrate Michael and Joanna’s baby shower! We had the best (and very rainy) couple of days relaxing, playing with trucks on the beach, and spending time catching up with friends. Grant absolutely loved the sand and I am hoping we get another chance to see the ocean (and have the chance to meet the new baby twins) very soon!
Santa Barbara, CA
Thursday we drove from LA to Santa Barbara to finally kick off Matt and Caitlin’s wedding weekend! As soon as we arrived we stopped by The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden. After seeing all the nature we met up with the guys at the pier for wine, ice cream, and lunch. That night we met my family who lives in SB at the Shoreline Cafe for dinner. It was great to catch up and after visiting with them Dale and I headed to our Airbnb to get some sleep before the wedding festivities.
Point Dume State Beach
After breakfast at Malibu Farm Dale and I headed down the road a bit to Point Dume State Beach. The view was amazing and we had a nice walk along the paths. Next up we headed into LA to stay with our friends Michael and Joanna and their dog, Riley. Our dinner Monday night at BCD Tofu House was one of our favorites of the whole trip!

Monday morning Dale and I picked up our rental car and headed to Malibu. Our first stop was the pier where we had a long breakfast at Malibu Farm!

We kicked off our week in California staying with our friends Matt & Caitlin in Westlake Village! Nothing better than dinner at Nonna with an espresso martini!
The Landing Grill & Sushi Bar
Saturday night we headed to The Landing Grill & Sushi Bar for dinner! Not only was the sushi amazing, but we got a stunning sunset, too. (My new favorite wine is Cakebread Cellars Sauvignon Blanc.) Dale also spent the weekend celebrating in Vegas with Matt. We can’t wait for the wedding week festivities!
