Toddler Truck Room

In April we moved into a new home and I’ve been excited to start designing Grant’s toddler room! While he is still sleeping in his crib in the nursery, I know we will want to move him to a new room at some point. He’s obsessed with trucks and construction sites so I’ve been on the hunt for toddler truck themed decor that also goes along with the house. I can’t wait for things to start arriving!

Our New Home

We moved (not far!) into a new home. It’s a 100 year old Tudor beauty and we can’t wait to make it our own. While definitely not a fixer-upper, it is somewhat of a blank canvas and the yard and patio need some love. Here are a few snippets from our first months of slowly moving in. The fully furnished formal living room and dining room photos were taken when we were looking at the home, I’ll be needing to design these two spaces. I can’t wait for all the memories we will make here!

Right off the bat I had some major estate sale and FB marketplace wins including this beautiful blue velvet couch and a couple light fixtures. The home has a million sconces (some of which I love!) but a lot of new off the shelf lighting put in for listing that I’m slowly working to replace with vintage pieces.

Nursery Decor

Hello, 2023! In just a few short months we will welcome Baby Smith and I’ve been working hard to get the nursery all setup. A lot of these items aren’t available any longer, but I’m so happy with how it all is coming together. The Rifle Paper Co. rug is definitely the star of the show!

1. Menagerie Les Fauves Black Power-Loomed Rug from Rifle Paper Co.
2. Arlo White Wood 3-Shelf Kids Bookcase with Drawer from Crate&Kids
3. Brinley Colorful Abstract Tapestry from Crate&Kids

December Around The Web

We kicked off December celebrating my mom’s birthday at the Overland Park Arboretum Luminary Walk! The week after I hosted my annual Chi O ornament exchange at my house and then attended a Junior League holiday party. I was extremely grateful to end the month spending Christmas with my family after testing positive for Covid in the middle of the month. Around the web I was super inspired by the home of designer Martin Brudnizki featured in Architectural Digest:

Kitchen Roundup

Our mini kitchen renovation was finished just before Christmas and while I’m planning to share photos soon I also wanted to list out where we purchased some of the new pieces. Other than the light, everything below is happily living in our new bright white space and I’m looking forward to replacing the light fixture soon! Enjoy!
