As one of three sisters, it’s always special to see my artwork used on cards I can give my sisters. I can’t wait to give Sophie and Alex this card featuring my plant illustrations this Valentine’s Day!

Hello 2022! My new year started with a quick family road trip to Decatur, Illinois. After that the rest of the month was filled with Holiday Mart 2022 planning meetings, a weekend trip to Denver to visit Laura & Ashton, and the month ended hosting Megan’s baby shower and celebrating my grandpa’s birthday. I also started a rotation at work in Hallmark’s Trends Studio this month! I’m not super into horoscopes but I did enjoy this one for the year ahead from Wit & Delight:
I’m already dreaming of a warm getaway later this year. I love Julia’s resort-wear roundup, such a great Spring palette!
This inspired me to consider some fun black and white check towels for our bathroom!
Loving this malachite roundup
One of my favorite accounts on Instagram lately
Some New Year’s lettering I did shared by Hallmark Mahogany!
And my favorite funky 2022 lettering
Heart day will be here before we know it and I was so excited to see my “happy heart day” lettering used on this sweet candy heart Hallmark card (available online too!).

The perfect card to let someone know you are there for them. Over the past few years I’ve been doing more and more illustration work and I was excited to see my background pattern used on this card! Lettering is by my talented friend Sarah Cole.

We kicked off December celebrating my mom’s birthday at the Overland Park Arboretum Luminary Walk! The week after I hosted my annual Chi O ornament exchange at my house and then attended a Junior League holiday party. I was extremely grateful to end the month spending Christmas with my family after testing positive for Covid in the middle of the month. Around the web I was super inspired by the home of designer Martin Brudnizki featured in Architectural Digest:
Bookmarking this fun kids ornament inspiration for the future!
I’m not much of a baker, but maybe next year I’ll attempt a Yule Log?
Some post-Christmas snowflake making could be a good January activity
Take a peek at the beautiful Christmas tree made of leaves at the top of this gift guide
Another item on my wishlist for next Christmas…
One of my favorite illustrators, Libby Vanderploeg alway has the most creative holiday illustrations/animations
Beautiful behind-the-scenes from the ABT
My Christmas wish as well!!
Happy Christmas Eve Eve! Every year Dale and I celebrate by exchanging gifts and watching Love Actually before all the family festivities. I also LOVE every chance I get to work on Paper Wonder cards for Hallmark, this dove wreath was no exception.
