Bright Easter blooms from our celebration today!
March Around The Web
Iβm writing this a bit in advance, baby boy should be here by the time this posts! We canβt wait to meet him. March was filled with final prep for baby, doctorβs appointments, time with family (Neil visited from Chicago early in the month), dinners with friends (Dinner Club at Ragazza, Sonyaβs birthday at Lidiaβs, Bamboo Pennyβs with Mary, Kam, Megan and Matt, and Tavern with Heather) and finishing up work before my leave. We are SO excited for what April and this Spring will bring!
This month we decided to get a new rug for our kitchen and went with this beautiful one from Anthropologie. While we loved our old one, it unfortunately was pretty worn from the past almost five years.
Right before baby we made these two frozen meals to have on hand. Looking forward to both the stuffed shells and quinoa dish!
I would love to have an entire tea station like this someday!
These wedding photos caught my eye, especially the ones peeking through the grass.
Love the idea of having a keepsake of babyβs hand and foot prints β these shadow boxes from Cowtown Clay are a beautiful option!
While I am a diehard Artifact Uprising fan (and ordered my baby book from them), I also love this option for a first year book from Printique.
A fun video from my Hallmark photo studio friends about turning a card into a gift!
Obsessed with these beautiful pressed flower pieces.
Welcome, baby boy!
January Around The Web
January has flown by and I am now 31 weeks pregnant! It was an exciting month with TWO baby showers to help us celebrate and prepare for our new arrival. We also spent a weekend in Wichita celebrating my friend Steph and her baby boy on the way. My friend Macy, who hosted us, is also expecting a little girl in March. Itβs going to be an eventful Spring! We wrapped up January with a few family birthday celebrations (a weekend at Turkey Hill for Pop and dinner for Aubrey).
Around the web I spotted this bag which has now been added to my wish list as an almost boy mom!
Lizβs trip to Harbour Island looked dreamy! And the turtle photos!
A lovely sneaker roundup
While I just canβt relate to cluttercore, this was an interesting read!
Also saving this for our next dinner out! Iβve had such a hard time knowing what mocktail to order while pregnant.
The perfect winter Valentineβs Day craft (as usual from Lars)
I know I would have LOVED this hidden room as a kid. Maybe someday we can have one!
Kelly has been sharing her colorful and moody Palm Springs home. You wonβt want to miss a single room but Iβm obsessed with the magenta dining room.
A recent baby purchase, the Snuggle Me infant lounger that is still on sale!
And the finishing touch on the nursery. While this isnβt typical baby decor, I love how it looks in the room and know we could easily move it somewhere else in our home in the future!
Hello, 2023!
Hallmark Stained Glass Workshop
At the end of the year, our lettering group at Hallmark participated in a two day stained glass workshop! I was SO excited to learn about stained glass, and used the opportunity to make a special piece for the babyβs room. Matt Kessler leads workshops at Hallmark, and was also kind enough to solder my piece for me so I wouldnβt be exposed to the lead while pregnant. I love how it turned out and canβt wait to get it hung up just as soon as our blinds arrive!
Nursery Decor
Hello, 2023! In just a few short months we will welcome Baby Smith and Iβve been working hard to get the nursery all setup. A lot of these items arenβt available any longer, but Iβm so happy with how it all is coming together. The Rifle Paper Co. rug is definitely the star of the show!
1. Menagerie Les Fauves Black Power-Loomed Rug from Rifle Paper Co.
2. Arlo White Wood 3-Shelf Kids Bookcase with Drawer from Crate&Kids
3. Brinley Colorful Abstract Tapestry from Crate&Kids
4. Merced Glider from Pottery Barn Kids
5. Pom Pom Bin, Natural from Maisonette
6. Arlo White and Gold Wood Baby Crib from Crate&Kids
December Around The Web
2022 is coming to a close and what a year it has been! This December was filled with time spent celebrating with family and friends, and Iβm so grateful to be wrapping up my second trimester of pregnancy. We started the month with a whirlwind weekend at the return of Krikindl Markt at church, celebrating Macyβs baby girl in Wichita, and a few days in Savannah for work. Dale and I attended two holiday parties for his work and I celebrated the holidays with the Junior League of Kansas City Missouri, Fund Development council and hosted an ornament exchange for my Chi O friends. Our family took a trip to Lawrence for my auntβs annual Vespers concert and Dale and I had a wonderful dinner at Basil Leaf with Grammy Pop. Then we headed into all the traditional Christmas festivities with our families.
On December 23rd I made spritz cookies with my mom and Grace for our annual Christmas Eve party, but next year I would love to add in these gingerbread ones as well!
Iβm thinking that next year I want decorate our tree with something special so Iβm saving this roundup for inspiration. Maybe Iβll add an orange garland, too?
Loved these beautiful paper angels from Lars
And this classic holiday home decor. Someday I would love to have a staircase to decorate!
Dale and I LOVED season two of White Lotus and this was an interesting read about about the filming and location in Italy
I donβt think 2023 will be a year of travel for us, but bookmarking just in case!
A good review of my favorite skincare line, Biossance
And the easiest, best appetizer I served at my ornament exchange
The most beautiful wedding Iβm pinning for color palette inspiration alone!
And an impressive 2022 report card from Chris Loves Julia
