Spooky season is here and I loved getting to contribute lettering to another honeycomb Paper Wonder! I canβt wait to display this one all season long.

Over the past year the JLKCMOβs Holiday Mart Committee has been hard at work bringing back our in-person show for 2021! I was proud to serve as Chief-of-Staff and Step-Up Co-Chair alongside Heather PeΓ±a. Kirsten and Danee, the 2021 Chairs, did an amazing job and we have lots to live up to as we kick off planning for 2022! If you live in Kansas City mark your calendars for September 28-October 3rd, 2022 to shop and support our community!
September was all about weddings! Before all the festivities began we started the month with a Labor Day weekend boating at Turkey Hill and had dinner to celebrate Barbaraβs birthday at Lake Winnebago. The next week Grace and I got our nails done before Laura and Ashtonβs wedding weekend, Holiday Mart held our Pre-Con meeting, and then Dale and I packed and headed to LA to celebrate Matt and Caitlin. As soon as we were home Holiday Mart move-in and show week began! This month was a whirlwind and had some definite lows as well. Fall has arrived and Iβm having a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact that there are just a few months left in 2021. Never have I had to try harder to embrace the season we are in!
Kateβs kitchen stopped me in my tracks. Itβs so unique and refreshing and has me wanting to include a lot more color and quirk in my home.
Juliaβs fall table also caught my eye! I love the beautiful florals and how the dishes stick within the same pink palette.
Krystalβs styling and photography are always so inspiring. These photos truly feel like Fall.
Iβm not a huge baker, or chef for that matter, but I would love to try these pumpkin snickerdoodle cookies!
Living in a smaller home, I always enjoy othersβ tips and tricks for how they best utilize their space, especially in the kitchen.
And on the opposite end of the spectrum, penthouse inspiration.
Itβs soup season!
This burgundy color is going to be popular this year I think!
The grand finale of our California trip, Matt and Caitlinβs wedding!! It was a truly magical day β the weather was perfect and we danced the night away. We couldnβt be more grateful we got to spend time with so many college friends in the most beautiful place.
Friday it was finally time for Matt and Caitlinβs rehearsal and dinner! Dale put the finishing touches on his speech and we had breakfast with our friend Andy before the noon rehearsal. The wedding took place at the stunning Montecito Club β we were all hoping the smoky/smoggy weather would lift before Saturday! After rehearsing Dale headed to golf with the guys and I took part in the wine tasting at the Margerum Tasting Room and drinks at the Test Pilot before the rehearsal dinner!
Thursday we drove from LA to Santa Barbara to finally kick off Matt and Caitlinβs wedding weekend! As soon as we arrived we stopped by The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden. After seeing all the nature we met up with the guys at the pier for wine, ice cream, and lunch. That night we met my family who lives in SB at the Shoreline Cafe for dinner. It was great to catch up and after visiting with them Dale and I headed to our Airbnb to get some sleep before the wedding festivities.
