August & September Home Progress

Over the last few months there have been some big and small updates going on at the house. Number one would be lots of progress in the yard. Dale and I decided to move one section of bricks to replace the crumbling path leading from our garage to back door. We finished just in time for our sprinklers and sod to get installed in the back yard! Inside our dining room table arrived (!!) and I got some samples for the living room/dining room. We also took down the wood built in that was covering part of the windows in the dining room which led to the very beginning of the wallpaper removal in the dining room. Other than that, a small rug arrived for the laundry room and we got the bed frame in what will be Grant’s big-boy room set-up! I can’t wait to see all we will accomplish the rest of the year!

August Memories

August was full of sweet end-of-Summer memories! The month of course began with Winnie’s First Birthday festivities, and we had lots more fun cousin time visiting The Rabbit Hole and Grant got to spend time with Aunt Sophie on his school break. They went to the Thomas the Train exhibit at Crown Center and visited me at work! We also spent time at the zoo, hang out with the Hanlins, enjoyed the pool, and celebrated Grant’s first day of school in the Twos room! Here’s to Fall!

Toddler Truck Room

In April we moved into a new home and I’ve been excited to start designing Grant’s toddler room! While he is still sleeping in his crib in the nursery, I know we will want to move him to a new room at some point. He’s obsessed with trucks and construction sites so I’ve been on the hunt for toddler truck themed decor that also goes along with the house. I can’t wait for things to start arriving!

July Memories

After a LONG travel experience coming home from Europe, we were ready to be home the rest of July. Some highlights included lunch at Billie’s Grocery, time at the pool (where Grant enjoyed many grilled cheeses), I attended the Art that Blows auction and got a beautiful piece for our dining room by my friend Lauren, a splash pad birthday party, we had to say goodbye to Grant’s teachers Miss T & Miss Riri at the end of the Summer daycare session, we went blueberry picking with the Hanlins, and I enjoyed tea at Tailleur with some Junior League friends.
