Loving all the spring blooms, especially our beautiful dogwood out front! I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend, the weather couldn't have been better here in KC. Last year we moved into our house over Easter so I’ve been feeling especially sentimental and grateful. One whole year of home-ownership!
I almost always restrain myself from buying flowers on my weekly trip to Trader Joe’s but these tulips caught my eye. It wouldn’t really be Spring without some new blooms, would it?
March has come to a close and I am fully ready to usher in warmer Spring weather, but not before recapping an eventful month! This month began with one last snowstorm the weekend we celebrated my friend Laura’s birthday, I traveled to Nashville to celebrate my cousin Liesel’s bachelorette & spent a few extra days there with my family, spent a siblings weekend in KC with Dale’s family, and had a crazy month at work filled with work on Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Christmas & Easter product! My favorite find this month was Victoria’s recap of her favorite interior paintings. The one below is entitled The Pink Room by Karen Kilimnik:
I found this roundup of wedding trends super interesting. Even though I’m already married I love staying up on the latest wedding decor for work!
Australia has never been at the top of my travel wish list, but Mackenzie’s recap may have added it to my always growing list.
Now that I know my neighborhood celebrates St. Patrick’s Day in a big way these might have to be on the list to make for a parade party next year!
At the end of April we are headed to California! This guide has been helping us plan our road trip from San Francisco to LA
Last weekend Dale and I had a lovely dinner at the recently re-opened Ragazza! If you are in KC I would definitely recommend — especially the spaghetti and meatballs.
Still obsessed with Jamie’s photographs and her journey to motherhood is spectacular.
Not in the budget, but these earrings are bold and dramatic.
My last day in Nashville started with breakfast at Biscuit Love and then was spent shopping around The Gulch and 12 South! It felt great to have some sunny weather before heading back to rainy KC. I also think we may have seen almost every mural in all of Nashville. I’m so grateful I was able to have a mini spring break with my family!
This week I was able to spend a couple days in Nashville! The trip started with a few days celebrating my cousin’s bachelorette and then I met my family for a few days to explore the city. Some of our favorite stops were doughnuts from Five Daughters Bakery, live music at Tootsie’s and Honky Tonk Central on Broadway, lunch at Acme Farms + Kitchen, and a walk through Frist Art Museum. We also grabbed coffee at The Loading Dock, dinner at Whisky Kitchen and Bar Taco. We also stopped by the Country Music Hall of Fame! Here are a few of my favorite photos from our first day:
Blooms this month. Enjoy!
Hello, friends! I was so excited about the sunny weather we had today I couldn’t help but snap a few photos. I’m really enjoying our new kitchen, and I think Otto is too.
