Because we were in France last summer, this was our first Fourth of July in our new house and it was also Theo’s first Fourth! Our neighborhood hosts the sweetest parade – complete with a small band leading the way. It ended up being a somewhat rainy morning, but we had the best time strolling the neighborhood, had a wonderful lunch with Grammy and Pop at our house, and then headed to the Hanlin’s for an afternoon topped off with backyard sparklers.

I was so excited for the Fourth of July because I ordered Grant the most adorable crab bubble! We celebrated by participating in the neighborhood Popsicle parade, had lunch at the pool and had a wonderful family dinner on my parent’s patio. That weekend we headed to the lake for fireworks!

Happy Wednesday, friends! This year I was lucky enough to spend Fourth of July at my family's lake house, Turkey Hill. The weekend was filled with food, family, friends, water balloon fights and of course sparklers. I hope your long weekend was equally as festive!
Fourth of July Inspiration
Almost every year my family spends The Fourth at our lake house enjoying homemade ice cream, good food, and fireworks! This year we are lucky enough to be carrying on the tradition (I missed out last year because I was in Italy with Sophie), and I can't wait!
