December Around The Web

We kicked off December celebrating my mom’s birthday at the Overland Park Arboretum Luminary Walk! The week after I hosted my annual Chi O ornament exchange at my house and then attended a Junior League holiday party. I was extremely grateful to end the month spending Christmas with my family after testing positive for Covid in the middle of the month. Sunroom Inspiration

Hello, friends! I'm finally sharing another roundup of inspiration for the house. One of my favorite rooms is a tiny sunroom off our bedroom and Dale has given me free-rein to decorate! The whole room is based upon the Globetrotter Wallpaper from Clarke & Clarke — my mom used this wallpaper in a hallway at her house and happens to have extra that will hopefully fit the space. Other than that I have ordered the bookshelf (it just shipped) and all the other details are just ideas for the time being. I will be sure to share photos once the room has come together! Moving In Photos

A few weeks ago we moved into our first home and I could not be more excited! That day I took a few quick photos just so we could remember what everything looked like before any of our things were moved in. I planned on taking photos before we had the floors done so that I would have some true "before" photos, but timing wise I wasn't able to. I hope that these photos will be fun to look back on after we have spent some time in the house. I can't wait to continue sharing updates as we get working on the house! For now I will be cleaning painting our trim and staircase. Enjoy!

House Wish List!

Hello, friends! I recently shared our exciting news that we have purchased our first home! I've been dreaming about owning/decorating a home for quite awhile, and it is still sinking in that we will be living there so soon. During the process of buying some repairs were completed, and we also decided to go ahead and get our fireplace in working order. I am so excited that we will be able to use it next winter! Another initial decision we made was to get all our wood floors refinished, and wood floors added in the kitchen. The floors have already made such a huge difference, and now we are getting ready to move in our furniture!
