In early November we kicked off the month finding out that Baby Smith #2 is another boy and that Grant’s prediction of “it’s a brother” was correct! We can’t wait to meet this second little buddy next Spring. After that we headed on our trip to California, and then I immediately hopped on another plane to Nashville to visit Grace! I got to spend a few nights with her in the dorm, eat in the cafeteria and we went to Kamala’s “107 Days” Nashville book tour stop. The end of the month was full of Thanksgiving festivities and getting our Christmas tree/starting to decorate. Here’s to the holidays!
Nashville in the Fall
To cap off family weekend we headed to Cheekwood to enjoy the pumpkins – Halloween will be here before we know it. I’m so grateful we had this weekend in Nashville with Grace!
Grace Goes to Belmont!
Last weekend my family traveled to Nashville to move Grace into Belmont for her freshman year! It was so much fun to see where she will be living, help get her dorm room setup and tour campus. We also made time for Jeni’s, Hattie B’s and a quick trip to Cheekwood Estate & Gardens. We miss Grace so much but can’t wait to hear about all her college adventures! Go Bruins!
Nashville for Dale’s 30th!
Dale (and three other Froends Nick, Trixie, and Jenn) all turned 30 in October and we made a trip to Nashville to celebrate! We had the best weekend shopping, eating (with a birthday dinner at Emmy Squared) and dressing up for Halloween.
Nashville Part Two
My last day in Nashville started with breakfast at Biscuit Love and then was spent shopping around The Gulch and 12 South! It felt great to have some sunny weather before heading back to rainy KC. I also think we may have seen almost every mural in all of Nashville. I’m so grateful I was able to have a mini spring break with my family!
Nashville Part One
This week I was able to spend a couple days in Nashville! The trip started with a few days celebrating my cousin’s bachelorette and then I met my family for a few days to explore the city. Some of our favorite stops were doughnuts from Five Daughters Bakery, live music at Tootsie’s and Honky Tonk Central on Broadway, lunch at Acme Farms + Kitchen, and a walk through Frist Art Museum. We also grabbed coffee at The Loading Dock, dinner at Whisky Kitchen and Bar Taco. We also stopped by the Country Music Hall of Fame! Here are a few of my favorite photos from our first day:
