Keepsakes: Everyday Celebrations Engagement

This engagement ornament may be my favorite of the 2024 Keepsakes Everyday Celebrations group that I created lettering for! Artists Sheyda Abvabi Best and Allie Robillard created the concept and designed this ornaments, and I had the fun job of finishing out the “yes to forever” lettering. I hope it is a wonderful gift for many engaged couples this year!

June Around The Web

Recapping the month these days feels so different. With so much happening there is a lot, and many necessary things, to take in and learn and grow from. I’ve been reading a lot, participating in a listening series on racism in Kansas City put on by the KC Chamber, and have still been working from home during the pandemic. Growth is happening all around us, and hopefully within ourselves too, but it’s hard and some days I really do miss my normal routine. Also at the same time life continues on. This month we celebrated my sister Grace’s 16th birthday and my sister Sophie got engaged! Time is moving so fast and so slow, in many ways I can’t believe we are already headed into July but here are a few things that caught my eye this month:

Stay safe, friends!

2014 Reflection

I have to admit this post was harder to put together than I expected, 2014 was BUSY! I think the main reason this year is so hard to reflect upon is because I went through so many major changes within such a short period of time. I graduated from college, got engaged, adopted a kitten, and started my career. I was lucky enough to travel to Colorado, Spain, and San Francisco. These are all events which could merit a full paragraph so I will keep things simple. Looking back at 2014 helped me to realize just how lucky I am to be surrounded by such wonderful friends and family. These few pictures barely begin to summarize everything that happened in 2014, but they are some of my favorites.

I can't wait to see what 2015 will bring!

Engagement Photos

While this will be my first mention of my engagement on the blog, I couldn't resist posting a small selection from the many amazing photos Rusty Wright of The Waldron Photography Co. took for Dale and I. Dale proposed on April 10th at Liberty Memorial, the location many of these photos were taken at. I could go on and on about what a wonderful experience we had being photographed, but I feel the end result speaks for itself. In the coming year I plan to share bits and pieces of the wedding planning, and perhaps most exciting glimpses into my process as I will (of course) be designing my own wedding collateral. For now enjoy these beautiful photos and also feel free to see more on Rusty's blog
