April Around The Web

Spring is in full bloom around here as we head into May! April has been a busy month: I got to attend my sister Grace’s Spring Show for Drill Team, we celebrated Easter with both Dale and I’s families, we spent a week in Santa Fe, I’m fully vaccinated (maybe the most exciting!!). Wedding prep is in full swing as well with Sophie’s shower invitations mailed and her wedding invitations should arrive from the printer soon. My friend Megan and I hosted a baby shower for our friend Mary, and we spent some time at Turkey Hill with our friends Brandon and Sonya! Life is starting to feel a bit more normal and I’m really looking forward to celebrating lots of things later this Spring.

  • Obsessed with this bedroom reveal!

  • Elsie also shared her girls’ adorable shared bedroom! I love the custom toy chests!

  • I didn’t do a full recap of our last day in Santa Fe but we visited both Meow Wolf and The Museum of International Folk Art! Both were amazing, must-sees in Santa Fe. We also had a great last dinner at Maria’s!

  • We also visited the Georgia O’Keeffe museum right after I read this article. Divine timing!

  • I’ve done a bit of Spring cleaning but know I will do more. This is a great article to reference.

  • Such cute pearl sneakers!

  • Always all about the blooms.

  • Cyla is one of my recent favorite lettering artists to follow on Instagram!

  • Dreaming of these built in beds for our lake house someday…

  • I’ve really loved my recent Ilia Beauty order. If you are a clean beauty fan check them out!

And I can’t end the month without acknowledging that this month wasn’t without its share of hardships. I firmly stand with the Asian American community and am glad to see accountability for the murder of George Floyd. There is still work to be done.

Stop Asian Hate. Black Lives Matter.

Canyon Road

Thursday we focused on exploring the art galleries along Canyon Road. There were tons to explore and I loved all the outdoor sculpture gardens as well! Our lunch that day was one of my very favorite, if you visit Santa Fe PLEASE make sure you have breakfast or lunch at The Teahouse. Their tea menu is extensive and the food was amazing as well. I wish there was a place like it in Kansas City!

After lunch we visited the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum which was a small but lovely exhibit of her work. Dinner that night was equally amazing — we had a reservation at Izanami. While we weren’t able to visit the Ten Thousand Waves Spa (someday we will go back and have to!) visiting for dinner was still an amazing experience. I finished the day inspired by all the art and full from all the amazing food!
