Easter was our first second holiday with Grant! I will never forget Easter 2023 with tiny baby Grant, itβs already so fun to look back at how much he (and second cousins Chloe and Adeleinn) have grown over the past year! I hope those celebrating were able to enjoy the day with family!
Happy Valentineβs Day!
Iβve seen this piece of mine used on cards and social posts for Hallmark, and I thought today was the perfect day to share! Happy Heart Day to you, and I hope you have sent some mail or picked up a card for someone special this Valentineβs Day. XOXO

Happy Valentineβs Day Lettering
The talented Hallmark artist Christy Ni and I had a chance to collaborate on some work for Valentineβs Day 2024 and this HVD lettering piece I created was one of my favorite parts! I love how it was applied to this Paper Wonder card, and have enjoyed spotting it in several marketing pieces. I hope you are ready to celebrate heart day with those you love!

Hallmark Heart Pattern
A lot of times I donβt know exactly how my artwork for Hallmark will be used, and I love discovering how designers applied my work to product! This Valentineβs Day card for son features a heart pattern from a past collection I worked on. I love the richness of this card, and hope to see it in stores, too!

Valentine Vibes for Hallmark Mahogany
Valentineβs Day (my second favorite holiday after Christmas) is right around the corner! I loved seeing my βValentine Vibesβ lettering included in this fun assortment for Hallmark Mahogany. My talented Visual Studios co-workers also contributed lovely lettering and illustrations used in this group!

December Around The Web
December has come to a close, and Iβm having a hard time processing that we are leaving 2023, the year Grant was born! All month was filled with first Christmas activities: we went to our churchβs Kristkindl Markt, had brunch with friends in town, took Grant to see Santa, survived a family stomach bug, attended Daleβs work holiday parties, I had my holiday dinner club favorite things exchange, our family visited Enchant KC, we got to meet baby Daphne, celebrated Dianneβs birthday, visited Union Station and Crown Center, and had a magical Christmas Eve/Christmas Day/26th visit to Lawrence! The last few days of the month were spent enjoying Smith family time and heading back to Enchant for New Yearβs Eve! Around the web, I was especially inspired by these beautiful ornaments by Mille Amber. Hopefully next year I wonβt miss the chance to purchase one! Take a look at her work here.
I also hope that I get a chance to try making these beautiful dinner rolls next Christmas!
London has the most beautiful holiday decorations! I hope to visit in person someday.
A bit of Christmas lettering inspiration
A new to me letterpress studio, the deep emboss is just so stunning.
Would you try this DIY? I would love to try a larger scale version in the doorway between my living room and dining room
After having a chance to try royal icing cookies this year, I could not stop watching these videos!
One of my favorite memories this December was making salt dough ornaments. This was the recipe I used, and despite Grant not loving the handprint ideas we had some super cute Santas to share with his teachers and family!
Saving this for inspiration in the new year, I would love to embroider on a sweater for Grant
I donβt have plans for a sparkly NYE outfit this year, but Grace always has the best roundups
