Hola, Costa Rica

Hello, friends! Today I’m beginning to recap my family’s recent trip to Costa Rica. I’m really grateful the timing worked out where we were able to go on the trip at all – I have a feeling it will be our last big trip for quite some time. We stayed in a beautiful home right outside of the Manual Antonio Park. Our first two days in the area were spent soaking in the views from the pool, driving around Quepos to get a lay of the land, eating our first few casados paired with fresh fruit smoothies, and grilling out at our place.

Dale wasn’t able to join us with his work schedule, but I’m so grateful to have parents who are still willing to include me on family trips! This time my parents, Sophie and Grace, and Sophie’s boyfriend Alex made the trip. Costa Rica is already more beautiful than I even imagined!

February Around The Web

Hello, friends! February has come to a close and while there were lots of bright spots overall it was a hard month. I’m excited to head into March! Some of this month’s highlights included celebrating my friend Alyissa’s birthday, the Chiefs WON the Super Bowl, I got to see Grace’s school musical, had a multitude of work happy hours, got to recruit interns at KU again, celebrated Valentine’s Day, went rock climbing for a friend’s birthday, celebrated my birthday, and had a fun mother/daughter trip to Family Tree! Here are my favorites around the web:

  • I need to make this wreath next year for Valentine’s Day!

  • This recipe is on my list to try!

  • I loved reading all the comments on this post

  • Never jumped on the Rothy’s bandwagon but I love these!

  • Cute new DIY from Think.Make.Share.

  • You know how much I love flowers and this was an interesting read

  • This workout is also on my list to test out! I would love to take a class from Megan

  • If you are from Kansas City, I bought the sweatshirt version of this t-shirt to celebrate the Chiefs’ win!

    Ready for ya, March!
